To be honest I'm quite concerned about this issue...my menopause symptoms have been going on for years now and I'm wondering if it's ever going to end.
I started experiencing my first menopausal symptoms at 51 and at 60, although they've lessened somewhat, I'm still experiencing some hot flashes/night sweats and hair loss.
I am just wondering whether going through such a drawn out menopause increases my risk for osteoporosis in any way - I am taking calcium supplements but does anyone know of any other treatments or natural therapies that could decrease my risk?

has some very good information on some ways of preventing and treating osteoporosis. Hope that helps.  |

i never heard of osteoporosis before until the day i was on a weight loss forum and came across a thread that talked about this bone loss which appears to be common in women especially at a later stage in life. thought id post the link to that thread for anyone who ignores what is this bone disease:
