anyway had success with it?
i was on hrt and stoped it coz of all the cancer scare, but still got symtoms so my chemist talked me into using remifemin (not sure of spelling) but it didn't work. i took it for 2 weeks and no change actually i think i got worse with it! haha!
anyway, was wondering if anyone else used it and worked for them? my chemist said i had to take it for 6 weeks before it would work but theres no way i can live 6 wks with hot flashes night sweats and insomnia! |

I have had some success with Remifemin in the past for hot flashes - it helped me to get a decent night's sleep, that's for sure! I still had hot flashes during the day but they were less intense than usual - my hunch is that I was still getting them at night too but they were so mild I was able to sleep through them.
Are you taking anything for your flashes now? Your chemist is right, it takes about 6 weeks for Remifemin to reach its maximum effect. My friend reckons Catapres is a godsend - it's not hormone-based, it's a hypertension medication - so you might want to give that a go if you're after something that works a bit quicker.

| remifemin is a great product, it helped me imensely when I had very bad hot flushes and dryness. I have also found releif by taking vitmin E 800 IUs, evening primrose oil, natural progestone cream (can get over the conter from pharmacys) and drinking lots of sage tea every day. |
